親友と癒されに明治神宮に行ってきました。

We went to the Meiji Shrine to be healed with my best friend.

明治神宮（めいじじんぐう）は、東京都渋谷区にある神社です。

明治天皇と昭憲皇太后を祭神で、

初詣では例年日本一の参拝者数を誇ります。

正式な表記は「宮」の「呂」の中間の線が入らない「明治神宫」。

木がとても多く、リラックスするのに良い場所です。

東京ではめずらしい虫も多いようです。

150年後を見据えて植物が植えてあります。

大正時代に活躍した東京大学の林学者本多静六氏など専門家が考えた明治神宮の森作り。

日本では彼のことが特集に組まれたり本なども多数でています。

もともと荒れ地だった土地に、成長速度の違う樹木を順番に植えています。

150年かけて、この場所にふさわしい森を育てようという計画でした。

わたしの父も彼の本をいくつか読んだようです。

明治神宮は木造建築をみる上でも素敵な場所です。
